Madeleine was abducted from her bed in a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz. It is a resort located in the Algarve region of Portugal. Moreover, Kate was on a family trip along with a group of friends and their children.

In fact, they also checked on the kids throughout the evening. However, Kate McCann discovered that her girl was missing around 9 pm. According to Portuguese police, they believed that Madeleine had died in an accident in the apartment. They also claimed that her mom and dad had covered it up.

 

Furthermore, she graduated from the University of Dundee with a medical degree in 1992. Kate tied the knot with her husband “Gerry McCann” in 1998. Their first child, Madeleine McCann, was born on May 12, 2003.

Later, the couple welcomed their twin sons named Amelie and Sean McCann in 2005. Kate worked as a doctor in various fields like gynecology, anesthesiology, and much more. She also opened a shop to raise funds which were used in the searching of her girl.

 

 

Her spouse, Gerry, works as a Cardiologist.She and her partner appeared in numerous shows like Daybreak, The Late Late Show, Crimewatch UK etc.The 51-year-old doctor also published a book titled “Madeleine: Our Daughter’s Disappearance and the Continuing Search for Her” in 2011.Furthermore, in 2011, the couple resumed the investigation and hired private detectives. Later, Scotland Yard started its own inquiry “Operation Grange”.
