 Bright student since childhood, Dr. Vikas Divyakirti has interest in various subjects. He completed his Bachelors in Humanities from the subject History from the Delhi University. Later, he decided to change his subject while pursuing his Masters Degree. He did his Masters, M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Hindi Literature.

He did not just stop here, he then pursued a Masters Degree in Sociology and Mass Communication. He also possesses an LLB Degree. Doctor Vikas Divyakirti had great interest in English-Hindi translations and so he also completed his PG in the same from Bhartiya Vidya Mandir and Delhi University as well.

He has cleared exams like UGC Net/ jrf. from Hindi Literature and also NET in Sociology. Not only this he cleared UPSC – the toughest exam in Indian history.

IAS Vikas Divyakirti is happily married to Dr. Taruna Verma. She is the Directress of the Drishti IAS. Dr. Vikas and Taruna got married in the year 1998. Vikas and Taruna are blessed with a son named Satwik Divyakirti. However, we will try and update this section as soon as possible.

Dr. Vikas Divyakirti is best known for his teaching abilities. An ocean of knowledge and wisdom, IAS Drishti’s Divyakirti started his career after completing his education.

He began as a teacher at the Delhi University. Not satisfied by what he was doing he worked really hard and started preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

His hard work and dedication earned him the sweetest fruits of his career. He cleared UPSC exams in his very first attempt in the year 1996. He began working for the Central Government of India in the Ministry of Home Affairs for about a year. At that time, he had a salary package of about Rs. 50,000 a month including other allowances in his government job.

He resigned from the job and again took a turn to enhance his well-developed teaching skills. He then established and laid the foundation of the most famous institute for IAS aspirants – Drishti IAS.
